I've had mine in the ground now for about 2.5 years (got 2 clumps of it) and this year it shows no signs of stopping growing skyward. I know all the literature says it's ultimate height is 3' but i'd be intersted to know what other growers of it have found. Is it common for it to grow taller each year and at what height has it stopped at

I don't think mine gets any taller than that, Louise...a little more if you measure it in flower, of course!

I think it's now the tallest perennial out there and it's because of it's sturdy stems it's not been blown over in the winds, i'm getting a bit fed up of it's loftiness now.

Too tall for the garden? It's a great butterfly and bee magnet when it's in flower, isn't it.
