Can anybody tell us what to do we have aphids in the leaves of our apple tree, we noticed that the leaves had curled up on inspection they were full of aphids

Lesley, I don't know what to suggest because if the leaves are curling, you won't be able to spray the pest. Are there ants on the tree? I think the aphids will affect the fruit unless you can get rid of them. If greenfly is the culprit, the leaves would not be completely curled and you can then spray them. I don't know what you would use. You would have to ask at the garden centre, or better still ask Steve.
