When the nettles die down, I can cross the road and walk along to my neighbour's house. That is the A10. My bin is out, (I can see the shadow) but I forgot that they are on strike. In the first picture which I took from inside the dog kennel you can just see one of the washing poles on the right. That is the oil tank behind the winter honeysuckle which is very exposed and stuck in a field.

Lovely photos Cherry. A drive has always been on my wish list, there is something romantic about a drive compared to somewhere to park a car just off the road. My Honeysuckle is flowering now, I thought is was a bit early but perhaps not . I have mine by the back door so I get a waft of scent every time I walk in or out. It is great for the bees on sunny, winter days. I posted my garden flowers in Novembers thread but as I had the camera out to photograph my begonia tubers I took these two in the conservatory. The first of the orchid buds have begun to open. I have been watching this one growing its flower spike for the last couple of months, it is the first time it has flowered. It eventually began to open but now the weather has turned cold and damp, the flower is beginning to go mouldy. It is a very poor specimen but as I have been waiting for so long and it is my first it deserved some recognition. It is a Bird of Paradise flower.

You've done well in getting it to flower, Wf. I've heard of many people who've been disappointed in the lack of any blooms for years! I must check my Lonicera - I hope it's started to flower too. Cherry - it looks great, and I can't see a sign of a washing line anywhere!

What were you doing in the 'doghouse' Cherry had you upset your other half! ;D They're lovely 'autumnal' feel photos Cherry. W.F. you still have lots of colour judging from your last pics. & these, I wish I had your gorgeous conservatory! Here's a couple of pics. I took of the pots at the front door. Not very interesting but they add a bit of colour.

I've seen those ornamental cabbages in the GS and never quite saw the point. Now I understand, they do look stunning in your pots Sue. Are they hardy?
