It is the only one so far, but a very welcome sight. ;D
All my bulbs are showing their 'noses' now. When we do get a frost, I hope they don't get too damaged.

During the summer I dug up some Hyacinth bulbs, instead of replanting them I thought I would see if I could get them to flower for Christmas. What can I say White hyacinth also available in blue ;D

You've just reminded me W.F., I put a basket of hyacinth bulbs under the tree at the bottom of the garden last spring & forgot about it, wonder if they're still alive. There are Cornish daffodils in the shops around here, I believe they're early this year. No flowers on my bulbs outdoors yet, at least not that I've seen, good to see the first snowdrop Geranium!

Yes it is, Sue. A very strange season - summer flowers still in bloom, winter ones starting into flower!

They don't look like they are going to grow much more and they don't smell that strongly either. I did get them to flower for Christmas though ;D

That's the ticket Cowslip, we've passed the shortest day and soon we'll be in 2012. I've no flowers but yesterday while on my obligatory after dinner walk I spotted what looked very like your namesake!

Found 3 snowdrops in flower this morning - what a lovely Christmas present. That must have been exciting Cowslip. I think we might have an early spring this time round. I've seen no flowers outside, but here's some coming on my Billbergia nutans, like they do every winter.

I think we will be looking indoors next month unless you soft southerners have something special in your gardens.
Hywel the buds always look as beautiful as the flowers to me.
