Your garden must be very sheltered Hywel. Mine cast its leaves all in one go this week and I have drastically pruned it.

I usually bring this in during the autumn, but this year it is still outside, although in a very sheltered spot. It hasn't grown more than about 3 feet this year, whereas it usually reaches about 6 or 7 feet, yet it is absolutely full of buds. Good luck with your new camera Floydie. I'm going to get one in the new year. I want one that can take good close-ups.

That's a lovely pic. Hywel, what a pretty flower to have outdoors now, it shows how mild it's been.

Apologies for the poor quality of the photo - I took it on max. zoom out of the upstairs window - it's my new Prunus subhirtella in full bloom - the Nursery said it wouldn't flower this year - but it has! ;D

That Prunus looks well established Geranium. One of my favourite trees.

Yes, mine too. The first one I planted 7 years ago hasn't thrived - it's still only 3' tall, which is why I bought a taller one in early autumn this year. I'm delighted that it's in bloom.

Thanks, Hywel. I had one in my previous garden, and it was such a joy through the winter months I wouldn't want to be without one.
