Lovely plant Grindle (another one I've had to look up : . I'd love to grow one but I think it might be too tender for my garden.

I'm surprised it's as hardy as it is, came through those 2 bad winters without any problem. I really like the begonia and aster Peony

Does the Beridopsis like acid soil? I have a feeling it does. It's a lovely plant, anyway! Peony, are you finding (like me!) that your Begonias are coping with the wet weather better than most other bedding plants? I have them instead of Busy Lizzies in my pots in shady areas, as well as in sun, and they shrug off the rain.

Thank you everyone ;D
Geranium, like you I find the bedding begonias shrug off the rain and love the shade, although if the rain is really heavy the large flowers on the tuberous begonias sometimes fall off.

yes it does like acidic soil G I thought so - there are so many plants I can't grow. I think you saw my Kalmia in a pot when you came, plus a Pieris, also in a large pot. Peony, the Begonias (tuberous and fibrous rooted) have been a real pleasure this year. :)As for the poor Osteos, they've been disastrous! I didn't bother with Busy-Lizzies this year; I used one New Guinea Hybrid in each of the two pots, and they have flowered non-stop. No sign of the fungal infection on them. I wonder how other people's B-L's have fared this year? I haven't spotted any around.

I still like that Salvia microphylla 'Royal Bumble' Tel. Your Fuchsia 'Millenium' is very pretty. Is it hardy?
