Geranium just posted the the name of the shrub which she is not too keen on. Now this subject has been done before, but it is time for an update. The good thing about these pet hates is that they are all different because we are different.
Sometimes we can change our minds about plants too. I have only one variegated shrub (Weigela florida variegata) in my garden because variegated leaves often look unhealthy to me.
What plants don't you like?

I can never think of any when anyone asks me that, there are some I don't have in the garden because they get eaten by slugs/snails etc. but I still like them & some where I'm not keen on something like their scent but it wouldn't make me hate them or not buy them. It's the same when I'm asked what my favourite is, I come up with one then change it to another & end up with a list of about 10! ;D

I think my 'likes' follow plant families. I love Daphnes, Primulas, Camellias and Rhododendrons. However, there is a variegated Rhodo which I don't like.

I wouldn't have a forest flame in my garden , just don`t like it Variegated hedges look a bit sick to me so they are out. My pet hate is crocosmia ( or montbretia) I painstakingly dug all of mine out over a few years but made the mistake of giving my neighbour some now, they are slowly finding their way back probably seeding from hers Alcamilla mollis is a pain when it self seeds everywhere but I keep one plant as the lime coloured flower heads look beautiful with my pink roses I don`t like the smell of marigolds but love lemon tagets. The leycesteria ( himalayan honeysuckle ) is a thug I won`t be planting again , looked beautiful but seeded everywhere and was hard to dig up. Four years on I am still finding seedlings every year. Apart from those I love every thing else

Hah! Leycesteria still had seedlings popping up in mine too for at least three years after I removed it.
Not too may plants that I don't like, more that I'm just indifferent too at worst.
I must say that I'm not a great fan of many Hebe's though cannot completely dismiss the whole genus as some are ok, especially the ones that are both hardy and don't get leggy and bare underneath...or suffer from mildew!
Kerria japonica 'Flore Pleno'...NO! Though the single flowered form 'Golden Guinea' is passable...just.
Pampass grass is another I would never really plant either, any of them.

I agree about French Marigolds - I can't bear the smell! I don't like Leycesteria either. There were three in the garden when we came - so I got rid of them. I don't go for those bright red Salvias or Amaranthus. Wishy-washy supposedly 'blue' roses are a no-no, although I love my 'Rhapsody in Blue' - very different from 'Blue Moon'! I expect I'll think of others later. Ah, yes. Dyed heather! I can't bear it and I spotted a whole rack of it at the GC last week.

It's all coming out now! I have chopped out my Leycesteria a few times and it still keeps on coming. I think I will put in in the woods here.

the only reason I keep my leycesteria is the birds love the berries

Hmmm i quite like Lycesteria I hate Ribes,Flowering currant. I keep mine only because the bee's like it. I also dislike those ornamental cabbages,Cotoniaster is a bit boring, again i keep it cos the birds like the berries.

I love my white Ribes! It isn't within nose range. ;D I haven't come across Cherry's/Grindle's one. I thought of yet another plant I really don't like - Salvia 'Hot Lips'. I seem to be very much in the minority - all the GCs have lots of them. I wish they stocked others too.
