Managed to get in garden this afternoon OH mowed the lawns and i've tireded up the front garden, feed the birds cleaned the bird bath, more to do tomorrow if i get a chance

started cutting back perennials, then moved on to the border by the pond, pruned one of the shrubs drastically, dug another out and moved some plants around, still more to do but it's starting to look tidier. Tried to get the pump going but no luck so it looks like a new one fished out a load of duckweed, must net the pond this weekend as the leaves are starting fall in

I was busy this morning cutting down a clematis thats been smoothering lots of shrubs, i just need to get the root out, another day.

I dug out more sanseveria and put it in a bag in the bin. I daren’t let it loose anywhere near the compost heap. It was dusk and for a change there were no mosquitoes, so I took a lot of cuttings of various Costas and Gingers, such as the spiral ginger. I also planted rooted culinary ginger which a friend gave to me. She will get me some more lemon grass too.

I finished the arch and gate to hide the rubbish area of the garden just have to paint it now I might put some trellis up to the right to completely enclose it later, certainly have to tidy it up Then planted some ferns and did more of the pond border

went out with the intention of painting the arch, found I'd run out of paint and it started raining so went shopping instead

I've done nothing for a few days, had an extra long horrible migrainey headache for 2 days, it wiped me out for a while Ironing today as it's raining. Your arch is fab grindle

thanks lesley I've been out painting it today along with the fence, compost bins and front of the shed, will need another coat or 2 tomorrow hopefully, then all I have to do is tidy all the rubbish up
