All beautiful @hywel. The primula does not look garish actually. I bought a pale pink one which, believe it or not, looks garish in my garden. It was a bedding sort which did not work with the varieties I keep and split.

Thank you both I usually like pale flowers, but that Primula stands out somewhat
Here are some more of my spring flowers ...
Ribes, which is growing out of the boundary wall, but it has more flowers this year than it's had for many years. (A lady living down the road has asked if she can have a cutting for herself and one for her daughter in law )
Pulmonaria, with St Francis behind it
Chinodoxa, which didn't make an appearance last year, and I thought they had all died. This year there's a lovely clump of them

I expect St Francis is looking after the cat and the birds and bees, etc. That is different to the usual statues of Buddha and Easter Island heads.
No wonder a neighbour asked for a cutting of your Ribes because it looks great. Your garden is looking good @hywel.

Your flowers are looking grand @hywel. Must admit i don't like Ribes, can't stand the smell but its tolerated it as it's really liked by the bee's.

I like the smell; also the oily smell of Choisya and Lantana.
