Took a few pics. today when the sun was out, for @hywel, daitheplant & sweetpea (adopted Welshman!) there are some Welsh poppies out:- Tulips & also heuchera, I think the tulips are Purple Prince but may be wrong Bluebells, the first is definitely English but the second looks a bit of a hybrid although I'm sure I've only planted English

Lovely Meconopsis there SueA. There are some in the hedgerow at the back of my garden, and I'm waiting for the council to cut them down ... they did last year, and I sent in a complaint. They are a bit overenthusiastic about cutting the hedgerows here

I like a few Meconopsis cambrica, but they get carried away here, so I have to keep pulling them out. Yours are well ahead of mine SueA.

I love them Cherry , can never have too many here & even the slugs & snails seem to leave then alone. I'd be annoyed too @hywel if the council cut them down luckily some of the councils around here have started planting up verges & roundabouts with wildflowers & spring bulbs in conjunction with local community groups which is lovely.

I wish they did that here. They did it in Swansea last year (That's the next-door county to Carmarthenshire) and it looked lovely - and better for the environment too
