We all know that Geranium has been working extremely hard to get her garden up to her exacting standards, ready for her Open Days through the Yellow Book Scheme to raise money for charity. She has had to battle the weather and health issues to do so, and I for one, much admire her for it. I'm sure you will all join me to wish her all the very best of luck...particularly with the weather...cos the garden is perfect. Hope you have a wonderful time Barbara and that you raise lots of money for your chosen charity. My fingers are crossed for perfect weather....well...at least dry.... Lou xx

Oh, thank you all for your good wishes! I'm really touched. I'm afraid the forecast for next week isn't too promising, but we'll see.

Thank you, Rosie - I'm past panic, into resignation-mode after yesterday's dreadful weather! What will be, will be.

Our big problem now is that the field we borrow for parking is a quagmire - so my husband is going up the lane to a friend this morning to see if their paddock is any better. Otherwise, people will be blocking the lane! We won't be very popular. This morning, the Nursery should be delivering plants - they give the NGS 10% of sales, which is a useful sum. It's quite entertaining watching Kevin negotiating our gate! He always brings plants that I grow, - but I'm usually tempted by something 'different'.

Have a great day Geranium. Sharing a beautiful garden is lovely for everyone. Having plants available to buy is an added bonus. It has been hard work, but slow down on the day and enjoy yourself.

He's very obliging, and drops off the plants the day before, and collects them the following week when it's all over. Having Nursery plants is a help as my plant stall isn't as colourful. He knows what I grow, and tries to bring 'matching' plants. Well - after a dreadful day weather wise yesterday, it's calm and looks all right out there, thank goodness. The stream was well up yesterday and we we were worried that visitors would be too scared to cross the ford, but hopefully, it'll have gone down by this afternoon. Parking is going to be in our friends' paddock and our cars will be in a neighbour's drive. OH went out and put up all the yellow direction signs yesterday, so this morning I shall be setting up my plant stall, dead-heading, and hoping for a goodly number of visitors! Oh, and blowing up some yellow balloons to tie on the gate! See you later.
