Thank you all - yes, we had a good day. The sun shone in the afternoon after an anxious time when clouds started to roll in! I think we had over 50 visitors, which is good for here in the back of beyond! OH had to put his hi-vis jacket on and direct cars into our friends' paddock. I got asked innumerable questions, so I got my little pad and pen out and wrote down the names of various plants for people. One lady brought a small bunch of flowers from her new garden - for me to identify! (Luckily I knew them all...) My helpers sold quite a lot of plants, but the ones I thought would go, didn't, and vice-versa. Lots of lovely compliments and nice things written in our visitors' book. It's very tiring, though, and we were both exhausted by the end of the day. I've fallen for one of the roses from the Nursery, and today I shall be looking for somewhere, anywhere, to fit it in.

Hurray!!.....that is good news.....I had been sitting all afternoon wondering how many people had turned up. All your hard work paid off. What variety is the rose?

Geranium your whole post made me smile. It must have been such a happy day. If I had to identify plants, I could, but would forget the names temporarily. This is how old age is affecting me. You had better get the name of that rose, as more than Lou78W will want to know it.

I had to - OH as well, because we were so tired. I had a sore throat from all that talking, and my back hurt. I did find a place to plant the rose - I dug out two Aquilegia. Here it is - it's called 'Little Flirt' and it's a patio rose, planted towards the front of my ex-Osteo bed which is now herbaceous. I sold a few more Nursery plants yesterday, too, so their total so far has gone up to over £100.

Yesterday I drummed up a few more 'promises' to come to the next Open Day - several people I met or spoke to said they were coming. I shall mention it in church today, too.
