What about "Blackbird".....(I think that's right)..... I stand corrected Lou, that looks a stunner.

There are a lot of varieties of Dierama and more coming all the time. I also have 'Tiny Bells', which is pretty, but was crowded out this year. I will do better next year. I love them.

A little bit of colour from this mornings first garden. Iris A pot of summer bedding. The scent from these Carnations is stunning.

That pot in the middle pic would carry scent from the two varieties and the clump of Pinks is gorgeous.

You going to harvest them Hywel? I don't know what to do about them really. Should I leave them or cut them off ...
Your pinks look nice. The old varieties have the best scent

Great photo @hywel, I love the detail on the inside of the foxglove flower and your view, as always, is beautiful

Leave them until they start to ripen Hywel, then cut them off and either put them in a paper bag or between 2 sheets of kitchen roll until they fully ripen and open.

The 'Generous Gardener' rose looks a lot like my 'St Swithun' DA rose i've got - which looks beautiful, but has quite a peculiar smell! I might have to swap! Your Diascia is a lovely colour. I've got some Diascia 'Blue Belle' here and I'm really not sure about the colour (although I admit the lettuces don't set them off maybe - they look better with some light flowers!) I was quite surprised when they flowered as I thought I'd got peach ones, but I must've mis-clicked when ordering online as it definitely says 'blue' on my order form!
