Actually, the Diascia tones well with the lettuce Bess. It makes a lovely pot of plants.

Leave them until they start to ripen Hywel, then cut them off and either put them in a paper bag or between 2 sheets of kitchen roll until they fully ripen and open. Thanks ... can you eat them then ?

I took some photos of the roses as lots of them are coming out now, bit of greenfly & blackspot but the flowers all look lovely. 'You're Beautiful' 'Lady of Shalott' 'Nice Day' 'Penelope' - hybrid musk rose free from Fryer's roses 'Graham Thomas'

Lovely roses SueA I am a bit disappointed in mine this year. Been so warm and dry as soon as flower comes it is gone. some have been nice and plenty of them . Lady marmalade should be soon. This year bare root. Looking forward to that .

Brilliant idea Grindle putting a Hoster in a hanging basket never seen that before, I love the last picture it's different pinks what the tree at the back called ?? covered in pink flowers.

I'd never have thought of putting hanging baskets on a tree grindle, but it looks really good, that's a lovely Hosta. Your border is very colourful too, is the shrub a Deutzia?

Peony's right lesley it's Deutzia Strawberry fields thanks both, it seems to be the only way I can grow hostas and the slugs can't reach them
