Thanks, it's a very pretty iris but very small, there must be others dotted around the garden somewhere too. Having just read your comment on here Cherry about clivias being quite easy to care for I might go back & buy one from Lidl & give it a go!

They should be a good price if Lidle have them. Definitely get one Sue. If they are very cheap, get two. They are normally expensive.

Those look nice & cheerful Lou, we've got a few little daffs out dotted about the garden & some of those striped crocus too. Just thought I'd pop a couple of pics. of the clivia I bought last night from Lidl for £5.99 to show Cherry, I went back & got one! ;D It's only got one flower stalk but it's quite tall & healthy looking.

I had to ask Esther how to look after it when I got mine. It never needs heat. It is in a cold conservatory with the wellies, and I put it out in the summer in a shaded position because it takes up too much room. This is a plant I would recommend, especially if you are not good at houseplants. I am very bad with houseplants. I beg to differ Cherry...

That was a bargain Sue....smashing looking healthy plant. I had one years ago and am tempted again, after seeing Cherry's beautiful specimen

Oh Sue. You really did well there. I am so pleased for you and I think your Clivia is gorgeous. ;D I have to manage to get mine out of the pot somehow. I tried last year and couldn't manage it. I wonder whether I should sacrifice the pot, but it is a good one.
Your daffs are ahead of mine Lou. It must be quite sheltered where you are.

This Hepatica transylvanica has been flowering now for a few weeks in my garden.
