look what the frost did to my violas in containers the only ones that grew ok were a couple of wall baskets even the wallflowers look pathetic

The last photo is pretty It is a shame about you violas and your wallflowers, mine have had it too along with all of the Sweet Williams. There are a few pleasing survivors. These were 20p each last year These were free, I prefer the way the flowers are arranged in the second year. These little anemones are popping up all over the place. And my Hellebores are flowering their socks off

I love the primula, I have a similar one with lilac flowers, but sir Dylan knocked the flower off Lovely hellebores too ;D

Grindle that dog could get away with anything. I just cannot believe your pansies. What do they actually need? I think it must be drier soil. Mine are in pots in windy fields, truly. The cotoneaster at the edge of them is brown, but alive, but the pansies are looking very good.
Your other plants look lovely, and WF's flowers are the simple and well loved spring flowers which are well grown.

Pansies don't seem to take the weather as well as violas, so I tend to grow more violas these days. Lovely photos!
