It is a reference to the shops already selling chocolate eggs, even before New Year had arrived, roofgardener
The supermarkets are also selling hot cross buns, too! They'll be rather dried out by the time Good Friday gets here!

I agree, utter madness. Though I don't mind the Christmas decorations in as it takes away from Halloween but that's only a teeny bit early compared to Easter eggs in before New Year. That's bonkers. You've me in the notion of a cream egg now lol

Naughty Roofy! When I went in our local sub post office which is now in a convenience store around about 8th December to post a Christmas card to Australia they had a full display of mini Easter eggs! The Co-op now has Malteser Easter bunnies & all the creme eggs etc. in!

And why do these companies do it? Because they know, we poor saps will fall for it and buy the things.

In another thread I alluded to my latest project. Roofus, look away now. A few years ago the site was given this metal shed. It has been moved about, someone backed their car into it, and it has been used as a dumping ground for surplus junk. over the past week I have managed to turn it into the site workshop. Roofus, I know you are peeking, so I can tell you, it has only cost about £6.

daitheplant... I've got one of those wall-hanging Lin-Bin kits... I've just thrown it away, but I can probably retrieve it. It's only got 2-3 of the bins, mind you... although I MIGHT be able to track down the others. Would it be any use to you ? Incidentally - excellent job with the shed. But... does it have electricity ? (it looks like it might be a bit dark ? ) And I LOVE that industrial-strength vice.

Roofus, all donations gratefully accepted. It is not totally finished at the mo, but the hard work has been done. As for the electricity, we have a brand new generator raring to go.
