I have earmarked G. Pyrenaicum, 'Bill Wallis' in my Chiltern Seeds catalogue. I will try this next year. It has an excellent descriptive write-up.

I do like Stormchaser, does it wander a lot? No Wf - not as much as Jolly Bee or Bill. It's a lovely Geranium. ;D Good for you, Cherry - I'm sure it'll be easy to grow from seed. Peony, I suspect that's the way for you, as well. I haven't seen it for sale as a plant, except in an open garden.

As Grindle had a 'mystery' Geranium in her garden, which I suspect may be G. sylvaticum 'Mayflower', I'll tell you about that group. As the name suggests, they prefer some dappled shade. They flower quite early on, and if you're lucky, they flower again later in the year. The plants are upright and don't spread. They grow to about 15" tall. This is G. sylvaticum 'Mayflower' There are several more in the sylvaticum family. G. s. 'Album' G. s. 'Amy Doncaster' which has a white centre. And G. s. 'Birch Lilac' which is a deeper colour. I 'borrowed' this photo of G. sylvaticum 'Hilary', which I bought earlier this year. I can't wait to see the real thing flowering in my garden! There don't seem to be many in this group - there's one more called 'Baker's Pink' which I'll watch out for.

:)thanks B, will look at the leaves when I go up the garden, although I'm not sure that is the one, the flowers are closer together.

I have a chart of the positions of all my geranium plants, with their photos and positions in the garden - I just counted them, and I have 95 different ones - plus some duplicates. It surprised me, as well!
