I wonder if anyone would dare to list the plants which are on our 'hit' list instead of 'wish' list. Please do not take offence if I list Solanum, Photinia Red Robin and Kilmarnock Willow. In the right place these can look acceptable, but are not for me.

This subject is giving me a real laugh already but no-one must take offence. We are all different, which means our gardens are all different, yet we can still admire other people's work.

Everyone knows i loathe acanthus but in the right setting they're perfect I loathe corydalis lutea for its invasiveness (and colour). Dislike cortaderias argentea) intensely. The vividly coloured bedding plants. Vincas. The dyed vividly coloured heathers. Verbascums. Yellow achilleas. Yuccas. Red kniphofias.

I don't like scarlet bedding Salvias, or Tagetes, or palms, and Cordylines look ugly things to me. I totally agree with Louise on dyed heathers! I'll probably think of some more.

Tee heeI just moved one of those from a hidden spot to a very prominent position I love most plants but I really can't see the point of Ophiopogon thingy I just love the black leaved ones I'm not keen on bedding plants, Sowed quite a few of those this year ;D Got Periwinkle romping its way through the hedge in the orchard and one or two Yuccas The top of my list is Symphoricarpos (Snowberry). I dug a deep trench and lined it with builders damp proof to keep it out of my garden, it has snuck in.

WF are you sure you are not just mischievous?
I forgot about that snowberry thing. It was used as a hedge here and it is now in a couple of impossible places where I just can't dig it out and have to chop it off.
I should add Hypericum to my list and Louise has reminded me about Kniphofias. The others mentioned I might not grow but don't actually hate them.
Esther's Ophiopogum has made me laugh because in North Queensland, the lawns are actually almost the same as this lily in green. Grass as we know it in lawns is not tropical.

Gardening is very individual Floydie and no two gardeners will like the same things
