I owe you a book of stamps - they're eating it ! I've been putting out the suet blocks as usual but realised that these were bought last year - does it go off, do you know ? The birds are still eating it but i just wondered if it had a shelf life - there isn't one stamped on it anywhere

Much brighter this morning, cooler too. Tel, all week long the predictions have been saying that for here too but in todays actual prediction they've changed their minds and it's going to be much the same as we've had for days I think the Met Office have to be the worst meteorlogical body there is.

They don't look at all nice like that, do they They remind me a little wrinkled old man. I am fast becoming one of those Louise lol But as for Ladybirds, apart from one solitary specimen last year, I haven't seen any for many years I'm pleased to know they are still around in some places. Oh dear ;D

Sounds like you over did it yesterday Louise. Sat around a lot yesterday after feeding the tomatoes on the allotment, disbudding a few dahlias in the morning. Wrote a few labels out this afternoon, with the name of the plant colour and height of the plants, we may wish to take with us when we do move. I did, Tel, well and truly, i'm dog tired tonight and will be going to be very early. I can sleep for England so tonight i'll be comatosed

Lou, in the pic 4th from last, what is the plant on the left hand side please ? It's got dangling creamy coloured flowers, kind of remind me of epimedium flowers but the foliage isn't that of epi's.

I was on the go all day yesterday - so much so that a stiff and achey back stopped me from sleeping ..... i'm great company this morning Watered the entire front (laid hose on ground), shifted loads of plants from overstuffed areas and replanted them in less 'full' ones, cut front and back lawns and edged them, laid turves to patch up ugly areas and cooked a roast lunch ..... Non stop action here
