I have got a couple of hardy Fuchsias in pots. All my other Fuchsias in pots have grown great but theses 2 are struggling. They both have good root systems. I've taken them out of the pots to check for vine weevil...not a single grub to be seen and no roots have been eaten.
Would anyone have any idea why they haven't grown? Its most perplexing.

I finally planted a Honeysuckle by the awful Leylandii hadge, the only reason it's not being taken out is that lots of birds use it for nesting and hidey places. Also got the dead heading done and picked another bowl of lovely ripe strawberries

A lot of my roses have been battered by the rian daisy . I'll probably be dead heading them today. You have had some truly awful weather up there, rosie Its been very demoralising at times dianthus, but you just get on with it

It was very hot yesterday so I watered all the pots twice then fed them, started cutting back plants who's flowers had passed but had to stop as the heat got to me, I went and had a cool shower, felt much more human after that

It got up to 30 degrees here yesterday, we had a 2 1/2 hour thunder storm through the night, started at 3am, Graham had to be up at 5.15 so didn't get any sleep after 3. Torrential rain too. Today is 18 degrees and the sky looks strange sort of opaque.

We caught another mouse, thats 22 in total from the garden. Yesterday I fed the toms but the tunnel was too hot to work in for any longer. I have Geranium Splish Splash to pot on but I don't feel like a sauna today
