I got a two very lovely deliveries today some great dahlia rooted cuttings for Tel and an envelope from John Carter with 24 collerette seeds. I have sown them so let's see what happens In around 14days.

That I do not know Moonlight I would speak to John regarding that whatever he wanted I would go along with. Which is the only reasonable thing you can do. All hypothetical let's see if they germinate first and I don't kill them as seedlings ! Hehehe no coir pellets going near them !

I have 4 possibly 5 germinated seeds Not even 7 days yet. The 5th hard to tell due to the vermiculite on top. For sure 4 bits of green popping through.

Moonlight you have some cracking seedling to try from tubers ! Let alone any new ones you sow. Can't wait to see how they progress this year

I sowed half the packet of pom pom seed I bought on Wednesday, just now. Have put them in my peat and Arthur Bowers mix with vermiculite. It's what I start most of my seeds off in.
Have placed pot in a loose poly bag. Let me know, oh knowledgeable ones, if this is wrong.

Oh...how big should they be before pricking out Tel ? If i think they are large enough to handle by a seedling leaf i prick mine out into 3in pots. I find because they are sown close together in seed trays the longer i leave them the more tangled the roots become.
