I sowed half the packet of pom pom seed I bought on Wednesday, just now. Have put them in my peat and Arthur Bowers mix with vermiculite. It's what I start most of my seeds off in.
Have placed pot in a loose poly bag. Let me know, oh knowledgeable ones, if this is wrong.
Thank you kindly. I have not tried your method, i sow mine in seed trays.

That's the way I do it too....... ahhh... let's hope I haven't failed at the first hurdle. My success rate at germinating seeds, is usually pretty good. Time will tell, eh?
I just don't have a lot of south-facing window sill space, so only peas get full seed trays to germinate in.

A few more pom seedlings through, not expecting anything good from them, all the good poms seem to be sports.

Dahlia seedlings never come true. You just never know what you are going to get.

I had 9 but one started and then decided not to. The other 8 left 6 strong one's and two weaker one's. Let's see what happens.

:oGoodness me!! wot a lot Tel Where you going to put them all !! Keeping them frost free is the problem at the moment, with not having the big greenhouse anymore. But I will muddle through. When planting out time comes they will be planted 1ft apart.
