that last one is a very nice colour Going to dig that one out today and place it in a pot, it will sulk for a few hours, but then should perk up, a few people on the allotment have said they like the colour of this one too.

Be careful with that dahlia Tel? That is definitely earmarked for stardom and could be your banker. ;D

Do you let the bees do the the work Tel? I do Steve, one of the allotment tenants has a couple of beehives on the site.

My better half has bees but they are about a mile away, I've seen a few in our garden this year (dont know if they are ours!) but mainly its been bumble bees. It looks like I wont have any seed this year as every thing damping off! We still dont know if we are going to get any honey this year!

The difference between the areas is quite astonishing. My neighbour has had to sell some hives and she has been giving honey away. The rape honey has to come off anyway, but mine has not gone hard so I think the rape was too far away this year.

The weather sure has made a difference to the pollination. This year has shown how much we rely on bees. Plums were not so plentiful in some gardens and I had few very early cherry plums. My later ones seemed alright. There are no damsons this year. Must check the sloes.
