 sweet bird Got the all clear from the vet this morning, Dylan's ear has cleared nicely, still need to finish antibiotics, then wean him off the steroids, hopefully then that will be the end of it, he's getting a bit podgy with them  Oh, I'm so pleased to hear that. Give Dylan a big hug from me.  Welcome back, Floydie. Are you setting up your own Wild Life Park? ;D |

 Stripes loves cardboard boxes, OH just threw this out ready to break up and put in recyle bin, before he got out Stripes was in there. |

He is very beautiful. My Killer Cat loved boxes and slept in one in the winter. Atticus doesn't really bother with them.

Moira was telephoned by the breeder of her Hungarian Vizsla who was quite distraught because the father of Moira's pup was killed by a snake. She said that if Schmoo (Don't say what you think of the name!) carries things around in his mouth, it comes from the father. This call came straight after she told me that the pup had carried a fresh laid egg right up the stairs to give to her; well, in exchange for a treat. Schmoo's mother is missing her companion very much. So sad.
Another problem the dogs in Australia have is heartworm and they have to be protected against this. If they have not had the vaccination for it, they have to be tested before vaccination in case it is too late.

Schmoo must be very gentle to have carried the egg safely Cherry! ;D Shame about his poor dad, it must be a worry for pets in Oz with snakes etc.
Lara looks very sweet Rosie, it's a waste of time buying presents for cats when all they want is a nice box!
Haven't mentioned it before as I have been too upset but our cat Amy died 4 weeks ago, she was 17 1/2 & I think it was just old age, she was eating well but getting thin & deaf, she went to sleep on her blanket in the kitchen & didn't wake up. I've buried her at the end of the garden under the ornamental cherry tree, with the rhododendron in a pot above her. I took her leftover food packs & hardly used scratching post/platform to the animal sanctuary who are looking after the baby hedgehog I found.

I am just the same Sue. When Killer Cat died and I could not talk about it until we got the feral cats. I do hope you get another cat. We all have to go through this at some time, but you know that.

Don't think we will be getting another cat Cherry, if we got a pet it would be a dog but I get too upset when they die so am not tempted at all now.
