Eeeuuugghhh - at this time of the morning, that's all too graphic! Did I tell you that Henry is booked in for a session with a Physio? He may then have some complementary treatment - acupuncture, physio and hydrotherapy, all supervised by his vet. Better than yet more pills!

I know a vet who does this. It should be beneficial.

I do hope so. My husband took him out while I was in church and said he lagged behind all the way home.

Aww, poor Henry, maybe now the weather is warming up a bit it may help him but hydrotherapy seems to work well on animals from what I've seen in articles & t.v. programmes.

I really hope so, Sue. He limps when he's been in bed and has to get out. He only goes on short walks and limps on the way back. He's not allowed to chase his ball any more, either.

Brodie is old now and goes into a deep sleep so I have to pat her to wake her and take her out. When she gets up she does a big stretch. This naughty dog escaped from the Arcon where husband was fixing an aeroplane and as she is a bit deaf, it was harder to find her. However, she was eating rubbish which had escaped from the oil drum bonfire and could hear me alright. She just used her 'deaf ear'.

Something I often get accused of

I am quite rightly accused of 'deaf ear' because I won't be shouted at from another room.

We were both upstairs yesterday afternoon, as the PC and my laptop are both up here. Henry appeared. I wasn't happy to see him! I think we might have to erect some sort of barrier across the stairs to stop him coming up. It really does harm to his leg when he goes back down. It's bound to happen again, now that OH has his desk etc. set up permanently in the spare bedroom. Because of our thick walls, the broadband signal is weak downstairs, so I tend to keep my laptop up here as well.

A child's stair gate would be handy in this situation Geranium. Poor Henry. He would be fine here in our small bungalow.

Yes, it would. We're thinking about how to stop him coming up.
