Bob has thankfully one peed in the house that one time so it's not too bad, he actually strangely doesn't seem to pee very often, but when he does oh my goodness it's like he's never going to stop lol As it turns out Bob is 9 months old, we thought perhaps 7-8. I had our other two previous dogs house trained in a fortnight, they used to sit as close to the back door as possible yet still in eye shot of us to get our attention lol, though Bob came trained which has been great. He's still just wee I guess. He went out again last night to bed, scratched the back door at 440am, I went out and put him back to bed, not a peep till I opened the door at 615am, that I can cope with

Gandalf is fine too. He gets on well with Poppy though he has his moments. He's just been de-flea'd lately and seems more affectionate to Poppy. He must have been cranky because of the fleas which weren't overwhelming but he is allergic to their saliva which means one bite and he flares up with itchy scabs. Poor boy...

That's new to me Fractal. As cats deal with their fleas, we don't know how many they get, but you would be able to see the evidence on Gandalf. Of course, this would be when the spot feeder has worn off.

I hope this photo doesn't upset Hywel, I know he loves his fuschias Bertie just about to take a bite. (Actually the tortoises didn't like the taste much, so won't be scoffing their way through my T+M fuschia selection!)

Sammy went missing this morning and what a drama. I walked non-stop for an hour and my hip has been a bit 'off' since my spectacular fall into the shower and on to the floor. I always cover the road and wend back to it after checking the farm. The little horror was keeping quiet while eating a muntjac deer which had probably been hit by a car and was dead in the woods. He gets a bit savage if parted from a bone and this was a real prize.
When I hooked the lead around his neck and started pulling him away, I was surprised to see my faithful cat sitting behind me. She had followed me for the whole hour, but I didn't expect her to come into the woods which are covered in nettles and brambles. She has settled well, but is too light and petite to make a difference to the rabbit population. However, I think she chases them because there are none on our lane.

That must have been worrying for you, isn't amazing how they can sniff out something worth eating . My cats used to follow me when I was walking our first dog, although I don't think they would have stuck it for that length of time

Lily should have a little barrel of brandy strapped round her neck like a St. Bernard Cherry , she must have been keeping an eye on you & tracking Sammy too!

They certainly are at the moment, Hywel, Bertie is terribly ill with pneumonia and it's not looking good he's on antibiotics and we're trying every remedy we can invent, but he's so tiny. Apparently some tortoises are just prone to getting it and can get set off by the smallest thing - although tbh we can't even think what might've done it as ours are pretty pampered. We're supposed to be going away for a few days on Monday too - yikes.
