A mostly drizzly day but it rained harder tonight.
Sieving the multipurpose compost on Saturday has given me a bad back so I decided that I wouldn't do that any more. I had put the coarse material off the sieve into a bucket but there wasn't much of it. I therefore decided that rubbing it between my hands would be good enough as I can feel if there are any lumps.I could also do it kneeling down as I think that it was leaning over the wheelbarrow that caused the pain. I did two bags of compost (each about 14 gals.) and mixed each one with 4 gals of coarse sand. This will be my seed and cutting compost next year.
