Boxing day.........left over turkey and salad, mashed spuds, pickles and lord knows what else ;D I must admit I quite like Boxing day. As to prezzies, well, I just be grateful for anything so my wishlist is anything as I don't look a gift horse in the mouth however there are a few things I would like but am unlikely to receive so I try and concentrate on what I get for others. The reward is the smiles and surprise when they are received. (hopefully) ;D

Don't remind me, don't really enjoy Christmas Day/Boxing day but I do like giving the gifts.

Me too. As for me, I'm hoping to get an iPad, and with all the hints I've dropped, possibly some gardening vouchers. The best bit of Christmas for me is the Service of Nine Lessons and Carols on radio 4 on Christmas Eve. I refuse to miss that.

I too never miss the Carols but the sound on our TV is poor. The tuner part of my Hi Fi is caput and will cost £200 to repair ! 'twould be cheaper to go to Cambridge. I can still use the CD part so I'll enjoy my annual dose of 'The Messiah'. always brings tears of joy.

A couple of years ago I went to the Advent Procession at Ely Cathedral and I wished I had seen it years ago so I would have longer memories. It was beautiful, but terribly cold.

I like my own version of Christmas - giving a few gifts and listening to carols. Seeing some family and friends. But this modern jingly 'xmas' is so boring and empty ... and noisy. But we will enjoy it in our own way. Merry Christmas to you all ;D

Remind me again in four weeks and I'll show some enthusiasm ;D I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment. I will be late with everything as usual.
