I'm with you Rosie - I LOVE Christmas ;D The pudding I make isn't that really dark stodgy sort - I make a much fruitier and lighter one I considered not making a cake this year but only for a couple of minutes ;D I will make it at the beginning of december All the family are coming here for lunch on the 18th December to celebrate Barry's 70 th birthday - hopefully all the decorations will be up by then. We are all going to Paul and Louise for Christmas lunch and my sister and her family will be coming here sometime during the holiday. Tim and Sarah go to an old folks centre on Christmas morning and help to cook lunch for about 100 people - they really enjoy doing this ;D Lou - the kitchen smells lovely I could well like your pud then Esther ;D We are going to Emma and Andrew's for christmas dinner, Sara spends christmas eve with us and we all go over together. What a nice thing Tim and Sarah do, very nice thought

I can't shop for long. I get 'shopped out' and need to come home. My eldest daughter always gets sick if she visits a city, so has always stayed in country places. The second daughter is the opposite.

Really colourful Sue, The Deansgate is really getting into the spirit of it not to mention the light ale. Hope you're not suffering with a cold, ther'e a lot of it about.

The carnival in town is next week, don't think we will be going (depends on cash flow). If we go and theres anything worth a photo or 2 I'll post them . Its not any were near as nice , Just the high street with a few lights hung from the street lights (plus what ever the shops have in the windows ).

bah humbug! ;D Not really. I do like Christmas but much prefer it at Christmastime not in the run up to hallowe'en and bonfire night. There is such a thing as overkill and the commercialisation of Christmas does nothing for me. That said, bring it on ;D

We did not have these things in Australia and I lived in the country anyway. Well we had the big Luna Park which most Victorians visited once in their lifetime.

I never thought about that. I was in Australian mode and memories then.
