This year we got a 5ft Spruce, fancied a change from a Nordmann. The tree's in shops are very expensive over £35 for a 5ft one. We always go to the forestry commission place at Tyrebagger on the A96, nordmans were £26 there for a 5ft. I will post a picture of mine later on

Me too, Cherry. I do like having a Christmas tree, even though I don't decorate anywhere in the house any longer as there are just the two of us. The children used to make paper chains and so on - those days are long gone. I usually make a wreath for the door, though. Rosie - that's a very good price for a Nordmann! They're a lot more down here.

They are very nice Floydie. I put mine up yesterday and cleaned the dust out of the sitting room first. I had to clean compost of the window sill as i had all my plants on there .

That sounds familiar! ;D I'd love to have a tree outside in the porch, but there isn't a socket close enough.

They look lovely Floydie & Esther, perfect for the children & grandchildren. I can see you've got a little 'fence' around your tree Floydie but how do you stop the little ones from opening those presents around the bottom! ;D

Brenda and one of the Grandkids put the tree up on Sunday. This was taken with the flash on. This one taken without the flash on.

We always had real trees but last year we bought a very real looking tree from Dobbies last yr.
And if liked can spray or add a wee bit of pine spruce in centre or on christmas day can hang fresh Macintosh Apples for a christmas smell.

Looks lovely Tel. However, I can't help admiring the paintwork. Is this what you did when you moved? I could have done with borrowing your grandchildren for my tree. It took ages to put up.
