I am feeling a bit smug. I hope Floydie is listening to the advice so far, which seems to focus on 'mindset' rather than actually 'doing'. I have faith in you Floydie. It may not be this year, but I have seen what you have learned in the garden and what you are sewing. You made up your mind to have a sewing machine and you got it. You went for a job and got it - just the wrong one. It will happen. You could put away the money you save for a special blowout.

Is that what you've lost, Cherry? Wow! I lost another pound this week, which makes 8lb in total.

Which means you have Cherry?....if so.....very well done... I have lost that amount, but I had to have a fried onion with my tea last night (guess why) and I have been through a period of a few days of feeling quite sick. I am just using common sense really because we all know what we shouldn't eat, but also I think some things put weight on which is peculiar to certain people. My husband likes anything wrapped in pastry and I am now refusing to eat these foods. I don't like them anyway. He had chips last night. I had one chip. I really did not want them. Lou did you take long to lose weight? I wonder how long I should stick at this. All good Geranium!

Well done to all the ladies, just shows what can be achieved through eating what you know is right for you as a individual, plus determination too of course.

I started in the October and reached my goal weight the following August. Have you set yourself an ideal weight or continuing until you feel comfortable.? Everyone loses at different rates and should not set an unrealistic goal; I often think this counter-productive, don't you? Good luck with the rest of your diet and don't forget to "treat" yourself now and again.

Thanks for the info Lou. It is good of you because it is rather personal. I would be happy to lose a dress size, but I think I am going at it too hard because being honest, I am ignoring pains in my stomach.
