Nothing to do with your thread then . No the thread was Lou's idea, i just post now and again. Flippin' cheek our Tel!!!.....Its typical of you that you don't want to take most of the credit for this smashing thread....it wouldn't be half as good if you weren't here to keep us (most of us) on the straight and narrow ;D

Thankfully, there is more people who grow dahlias on the forum now, who have given a lot of information and help to forum members, than they used to be. Three years ago, when i joined the old forum, if i remember rightly, the experienced dahlia growers were Sweetpea, Derek and longs and the dahlia did not have a dahlia thread like we have now. I may have started the dahlia topic off in 2010 but now at least if i am not around, it will not come to a standstill with the wealth of experience we have on the forum now with Richard and Scrumpy also joining us.

You're not getting off that lightly, Tel - what about the on-line tutorial you're doing for us novices?

You're not getting off that lightly, Tel - what about the on-line tutorial you're doing for us novices? I am saying, if someone asks a question, they like to receive a answer quickly. If my computer were down or i did not log on that day, there is plenty of members on here now, who could give a answer to the question. The bad news is i am not going anywhere else, i am stopping here to torment you all.

Do any of your dahlia suppliers stock the 'Dark Angel' tubers? I've had a look on-line and can only find one stockist, they are 3 euros each but there is a minimum order value of 40 euros. I don't think my tuber is going to do anything and I did like them.

I know Richard R, stocks a Dark Angel, i do not know what variety it is, there is a few in that series www.withypitts-dahlias.co.uk/catalogue.html

Tel, some of my dahlias haven't started yet either. Are they just slow - is there still hope? I have all mine in pots, by the way. Not all are in the prop. either.

I have about 20 pot tubers that are still in their pots, there was not room for these on the heated bench. Though they are kept at a minimum of 10c they are not showing signs of life yet, but they will, when the temperature starts starts going up. Don't give up on them for at least another month. I find depending on the variety some will regrow quicker than others.
