I bought a tomato plant today from a garden centre, it's a basket type called totem Brother in law said last weekend he had yellow flowers on his tomato's and I don't yet, but I do now! He doesn't look at forums and I won't say anything if you don't ;D I can feel some bribery and corruption coming along here ;D ;D

Only thing I've done is to pot up 2 meconopsis 'Lingholm' which arrived in the post this morning, I got them on special offer from Van Meuwen, can't remember how much they were but it seemed like a bargain at the time! They were very dry when I opened the pack but hopefully they'll recover now in the kitchen. I just checked, they were a bargain - 0.01 for the 2 plus £3.95 p&p!

Set up a plant stall by your front gate, Lou. ;D
Hmmm... I had a great time at the plant fair - these are the more unusual ones I found.
Matthiasella bupleuroides 'Green Dream' Heucherella 'Redstone Falls' - the first trailing Heucherella! Aquilegia longissima Beesia calthifolia Leucanthemum 'Sunshine Peach' Doronicum orientale 'Magnificum' Adenophora lilliifolia Silene dioica 'Graham's Delight'
Apart from those I bought three HUGE pots of purple Lupins, two Lavandula augustifolium, two pots of black Ophiopogon and two pink Arabis.

I was pleased to find the Doronicum in particular, because I already have one, bought several years ago. It has been a wonderful plant, it carries on flowering for months! It was just labelled as 'Doronicum' when I got it, so now I know what it is. Plant fairs are all the more enjoyable because you get to meet like-minded plant-a-holics. I spent ages chatting to people!

I put in an order for two Anemone 'Wild Swan' and six Viola cornuta from Elizabeth MacGregor's Nursery yesterday. She was the person who bred 'Wild Swan'. I've had it on my 'wish-list' since I saw the publicity about it after the Chelsea show last year. It was very difficult to choose the V. cornuta - she specialises in them and has some very beautiful plants.
