The thermostatic valve on one radiator is leaking. The carpet is sodden. No plumber until Thursday. They is inundated (pun intended) with emergencies. Once upon a time I could have mended it myself, but not any more.

Finally found a reliable builder to fix our chimney which has been leaking into the loft and down the bedroom wall, it's been a nightmare trying sort it out and has taken near on a year, we've had to try and get our local housing company to get on board so the whole thing could be re rendered but they didn't want to know, so we are just going solo and doing our half which is not social housing. Scaffold goes up Monday weather permitting

grindle, I hope you get this sorted out as soon as possible, it's not good having water run down the walls from a leaky roof!

it will be a relief once it's done properly, we've had a couple of minor repairs to it which didn't work, so now we have to call the big boys in

Crongers fissed. The builder is supposedly coming to start work on re-furbishing our Drive. Only going to cost £10,000. Has to be done though for safety. Been waiting for him since mid-November last year.

Builder is here and has made a start putting down the edgings which hold the new surface in place. Lot of money as it is a big area.

grindle your news about Dylan is really upsetting. He is growing old along with the rest of us, and he is so lovely.

Old tarmac scraped off and most of the edgings put down. He needs 2 good dry days t put down the top layer, so waiting game now.
