I know this is a long shot but would anyone have the knitting pattern of any of alan darts beatrix potter characters that were in womans weekly over the years ? Especially peter rabbit and jemima puddle duck and primrose mouse from the brambly hedge range ? I was thinking of knitting them for our next charity event to go with a little book from the range. They are out of print and copyrite now so alan dart can`t sell the patterns on his web sit which is a pity.

I had a google too and saw the PDF of Alan Dart's work. but you will have looked at all this.
I have two patterns: One is for a donkey which stands 9 ins high and the other is a bear, but no height has been given. Will these help, because I will post them right away if you wish to look at them. I doubt if I will knit them, so if you don't use them, it won't matter. They both came from WI. I quite like the donkey from a lady who talked about the donkey charity.

They are good Steve. I like the koala. Grindle, I got a real shock at the prices. I wonder what Ladybird will think.

Thanks all . I have all of jean greenhows she`s fab and a lot of Alan Dart`s . loads of other knitting toys from mags over the years but I don`t know how I missed these . I did try bidding on ebay but you see the prices .and I wouldn`t use a photocopy on moral grounds . Every now and then womans weekly get the licence to print some again . I think I`ll give them a wee bell to see if they can do anything. I have the little grey squirrel sewing patterns so I might just use them instead .

Alot of the jean greenhows toys look familiar, I had a duck, little yellow bears, scarecrow, a couple of the little dolls in dresses, I also have a peter rabbit somewhere... Wish i could knit.

I also have a local e bay mapper thing, it shows deals within a certain distance of where you live.

I have never shopped on Ebay because I don't know how to, but I would love to have a go. My son uses it, but never has time to show me anything on the computer because I am so slow to pick it up.

It`s a wonderland for me Cherry. I buy all my hotter shoes there last pair were only £1.4p and were in new condition. I actually emailed the seller and offered her more money a I thought she may be disappointed . got several of my work friends nurses watches from Hong Kong £1.49p free postage . This year I have had many bargain packets of seeds most in date so I`m in my element . ;D A lot of companies are now using eBay . I buy sausage casings , stationary, and probably the polycarbonate I`ll need next year .
