We have waited a long time for this weather. However, it was too hot to take the cocker spaniel out for a walk until evening. He is going to Sandringham today.

Good morning all 👋
Another hot day ahead today 🥵I hope you all are enjoying the heat as it will still be around another day or two!
In the entrance hall of our flat we have the thermostat for our heating. It's generally the coldest place in the flat but when we went to bed last night it said 25C! Even at 6am it still says 24C! I left our bedroom door ajar last night & a window in the kitchen as well as our bedroom window so as to create a bit of a current to make sleeping, hopefully, a little easier seems to have worked fairly well because although I woke up at least half a dozen times my wife says she slept fairly well.
Our max temps here were around 28C and today we are forecast an increase of 1 degree more! We won't reach 30C during this heatwave after all! Although it's supposed to break down tomorrow with heavy thundery showers expected across the UK we don't have any forecast for us here. The temps are expected to be just 25C! Like today we can expect sunshine & clouds. At the moment we have 15C but are forecast almost double that at 4pm this afternoon.

Another warm day again today ,suppose to be slightly cooler than yesterday and reaching a high of 29C. We always keep our upstairs windows open in the Summer as temps rarely dip low enough to need to shut them. We also don't close internal doors either, even in Winter as I hate to feel closed in. A good air flow in Summer really does help with getting a restful night's sleep. We do have a 2 day warning of thunder...a bit hit and miss as to whether we will get any though from looking at the forecast on tv..

Yesterday was another hot day and we got up to 29C. There were sun and clouds all day but neither was dominant.
At 5am we had 16C according to the Met Office app. Though we are not forecast thunderstorms here there is still the risk of heavy downpours.
Across the country there will be thunderstorms so August will be making itself known with a bang! ⛈️⚡

High of 28C today and a slim chance of thunder later ......sunny at the moment but any rain would be most welcomed.

Though we were forecast a few hours of possible rain showers this morning none turned up! There is still a remote possibility but unless they really turn up & are heavy I will go up & water his pots.
We haven't quite reached 30C here though the last 2 days we have had 29C! No sign of any thunderstorms for this evening but the mins temps are not expected to fall any lower than 17C at 6am tomorrow morning! So it's going to be another warm night tonight! Max forecast for tomorrow is about 27C. So a tiny bit cooler but the Met Office expects the temps on Saturday to be more like the seasonal norm for early August.
