After the beautiful day yesterday this morning was dull, grey & windy but warm & has stayed that way apart from a brief heavy shower.

Yesterday was quite humid & warm, especially during the afternoon! We had no rain yesterday but at 7am this morning we did have some light rain. It was forecast to go on over 2 hours but only lasted 30 mins! We were also in the thunderstorm warning area but didn't see or hear anything! Later this a.m. the yellow alert was cancelled & then transferred to tomorrow. But in the local forecast no storm is forecast. We will wait & see once more!
We had quite a bit of cloud during the morning but during the afternoon there were some lovely longish sunny spells. The temps got up to the low 20sC. I had to water my tomatoes as they were wilting at 4pm! The time I spent on the balcony watering, deadheading & playing "musical plants", (my favourite hobby! ), it was very warm, making the inside of our living room feeling cold!

Our predicted thunder and rain never materialised yesterday but the heat really built up ,28C in the afternoon but apparently the feel like temp was 31C!!
Today it is suppose to be much cooler at 23C ...and we're suppose to get some light rain. Somehow I very much doubt it but it would be lovely......and save me from having to do the watering.

We did have a single rumble of thunder in the evening yesterday but not much more rain. This morning though was warm & damp & then deteriorated into rain for most of the day.

We had a little rain to start the day here this morning at 6.30. During the morning we also had a shower but that seems to have been our lot for today. There were yellow alerts for thunder for Monday & Tuesday but both were later cancelled. Now we have 2 more yellow warnings for rain in place for tomorrow & Thursday! One of the problems with these alerts is that they cover such a large area that we take little or no notice of them! If it were possible to reduce the area to be more localised then we would take them more seriously.
We have had little sunshine today & when the sun did manage to shine for a bit it was soon blocked out by the clouds! The wind, while not strong, was quite fresh today. Out temps have been a little under 21C today & tonight it is supposed to be quite fresh. I suppose we should expect that as after all we are now in September!
