I used to use the moss to fill the daffodil vases at the spring shows. When clover gets in the lawn I don't mind as it guarantees a GREEN lawn if/when the grass dies back during a drought. Plus the bees get kept busy on the flowers.

We try to leave the flowers in the lawn for the pollinators. It is so hot here this morning I have had to come in. I have planted out a dozen new varieties of collerette and single dahlias this morning that have come from Halls of Heddon and his afternoon I will plant out the rest of our collerettes that we have taken as cuttings. With the ones we left in the borders overwinter we now have about 50 collerettes and singles. This is ideal because our neighbour has just bought a beehive so Hopefully this will help him,and in the future we can get some extremely local honey!

watered all the pots, edged the grass that I didn't get round to, too hot after that so sat and watched the world go by. Noticed last night the Cotinus is flowering really well and was covered in bees

Tied in the Harlow Carr & Zephirine Drouhin climbing roses which were blowing around, tried to prop up a couple of the huge sprawling roses along the borders & re-staked the birch tree at the end of the garden which had whipped itself into a frenzy. Watered everything as usual & fed the wildlife.

It's nice to know you are all busy in your gardens I have been pottering - watering, a bit of weeding, repotting, and cutting things back, but nothing major, although there are plenty of things that need attention.

A bit of pottering is good for the soul Eli! I potted up 3 echinacea seedlings & put the cell trays of hyssop & ox-eye daisies out from the kitchen into the greenhouse. I was then able to wash & put away the windowsill propagators which had they'd been sitting on & get my windowsill back.

A bit of weeding, a bit of tidying the cold frames, a bit of watering, and I gave some rooted cuttings to a lady walking along the road past the bottom of the garden, with her little sausage dog and she said she'd bring me some Morning Glory plants

I didn't do much in the garden other than watering everything again & moving a couple of trays of plants out of the greenhouse to harden off & pulled some self-seeded blue Festuca grasses out of pots & put them in cell trays to try & save them to use in baskets.

I 'tidied' some of the plants along the path by my trellises but then it went too hot so I gave up and relaxed for the afternoon Then after tea I pricked out some Coleus seedlings and potted on some Aquilegia chrysantha which seeds I sowed last year.

A bit late I know but I sowed some cornflower & ammi majus seeds & white sprouting broccoli & moved some trays of bedding out of the shed & greenhouse. Watered everything again.

watering, watering planted out some of the bedding in the hope it will survive. The wall baskets are drying out too quickly even though they are being watered daily

Same here grindle, I could do with watering everything about 3 times a day at the moment but once takes long enough! That's all I did yesterday & put a couple of watering cans of water in the pond as that's very low, I'd left them in the sun to warm up before adding to the pond & left a couple more cans full last night which I'll add today, the frogs are sitting on little islands sticking up out of what water is left at the moment & there's none in the water butts so I may have to fill those from the hose pipe & leave it to settle.
