I decided to plant out the seed potatoes in containers yesterday & emptied out the leftover compost from the pots around the roses before refilling them with homemade compost, think I did about 7 pots & containers. Watered all the baskets & lots of the pots again as they're all very dry. One of our woodmice has met a sticky end - O.H. called me to look out of the window in the morning & said something had done a huge 'poo' near the garage but when I went to look it was actually a regurgitated chewed up mouse body, one of the local cats must have caught it but not enjoyed the flavour!

Ugh! I remember there was an awful smell in my greenhouse , it was a rotting mouse with maggots , I think a cat must have dumped it there.

not nice finding things like that First day back at my other garden, planted out a couple of plants she had bought, weeded the rockery, drive and made a start on the first of the borders

Planted out more seed potatoes in pots, I think that's about 11 pots altogether & thought I'd done them all but remembered this morning that I'd put 2 egg boxes of them in the box room upstairs so still have some left! I put a couple of cell trays of tomatoes out in the greenhouse which I'd grown in the kitchen & covered them in fleece overnight in the hope they'll be alright as I've run out of space in the kitchen, I can sow more if they don't survive.

20 'Nicola' spuds and 51 'Centurian' onion sets planted yesterday. Noticed the peas starting to emerge but one of the cats had got under the netting and had scratch but no real damage done.

The cold frame I moved recently was too low so I decided to put it on top of some blocks ... so I carried 16 'spare' ones down the garden (not good for discs in back and hiatus hernia) and put 4 under each corner, then I put lengths of wood inside it to hold the plants :-

great idea Eli spent some time in the greenhouse pricking out seedlings, sifted some compost from the bins and planted out seed potatoes on containers, still have a few left so will try and find more containers. Sorted out loo rolls ready to sow beans today

Brilliant job Eli, well done!! My day was spent planting out some of the zillion cuttings that I had gather over time....really must have more self control in future!! Then made some supports for when certain plants hit faster than light growing mode!!

I was going to have a day off from gardening today, to do some art and go shopping but this morning I did do a bit - digging out some out of control Ivy, watering, and moving a bay shrub to a different position. Also dug out the stump of a dead Cotoneaster.
