Yes Pretty flowers SueA and I wouldn't want to be without them, they brighten up the late summer and autumn. I bought a small variety last year but don't know if it has survived. If it has I hope it behaves better than its big cousin.
All I did today was deadhead some Roses and small Violas.

our plant sale was a great success, a bit chaotic but everyone seemed to enjoy it, normally we can keep the doors closed until we're ready, but this time it was held in the open for obvious reasons and people were wanting to buy before we'd finished pricing things up not sure how much we made for the club yet, should here today

Spent an hour at the allotments this morning pulling out Mare`s flipping Tail. Odd that Dai as where I used to live in Surrey mares tail was a real nuisance but since I moved to Wales over 15 years ago I haven't seen any which is fine by me.

I have mares tail in part of my garden, I can't get rid of it, and it's coming up through cracks in a concrete path.
Done nothing today ...

Fed the wildlife, watered the hanging baskets around the house & everything in the greenhouse. Discovered the first two mini cucumber 'Baby' in the greenhouse & picked one & some alpine & other strawberries from around the garden - not many strawberries as the O.H. has been eating them when he's walked around!

I've been making loops for hanging up tools, with that twist and tie stuff for tying up plants. I've hung them on some S shape hooks. I tidied a bit in the shed. I can actually get inside it now ! I watered some pots, everything is so dry, and also my tomatoes and cucumber. I should be doing some weeding, they are taking over. Maybe I'll do it soon
I've got some strawberries but they are going to waste, there's nobody here that likes them now.

picked strawberries too @sue my cucumbers are nowhere near that yet. Cut the grass, fed all the tomatoes and baskets, cleaned the pond pump and the duckweed is back with a vengence, so I've been scooping that out too, did a lot of deadheading, the rain the other day has ruined most of the roses that were looking so lovely We made over £600 at the plant sale on Saturday which was great news

That was a very good amount grindle! We went to the garden centre in the park here & got another bag of Dalefoot compost & 5 pots of ferns which were marked from £3.99 to £7.99 originally but they let me have them all for £5.50 as they were in the clearance section. When I got home I split the largest one in two as I wanted 6 little plants to go in pots on the small wooden stepladder stand. Also potted up a few more of the spare tomato plants I had in the greenhouse & pinched the sideshoots out of the other plants & tied them in, I was being watched by a frog hiding behind the pots.

Well done grindle
I watered a bit but it's too hot to stay out there, I'll have to finish the watering after the sun goes down or before it comes up tomorrow

I've never seen one of those either grindle, it's quite pretty really
Today I did a lot of weeding and cutting back of an overgrown Clematis, there's still plenty there to produce flowers. And a lot of watering.

Only watering & feeding the wildlife yesterday. We went to RHS Bridgewater again for a walk around as it was our Ruby Wedding anniversary, lovely day but we didn't bother having coffee & cake as the cafe was a bit busy & I didn't even spot anything in the garden centre which I wanted! This is a view showing the garden cottage which is one of the few original buildings.
