On a lighter note... There is a lavender bush that I planted many years ago that has been chopped in half and still flourishes so well. It is just outside the hallway to these flats and the scent is magnificent. I was particularly fascinated by the amount of bees that were humming around it the other day.

My Blueberry bushes which look rather untidy (what's new!?!) It's rather odd that the one on the left had plenty of fruit the first year and this year has none..in fact it looks a bit poorly. The middle one did well the next year and is not too bad this year and the right one had no fruit the first year but has a great crop now...but they were all bought and planted at the same time.

Plants have minds of their own, jasmin33. Sorry you had such unpleasantness. That's one of the problems on some forums (or should that be fori/fora? )

Thats such a shame Jasmine. Our wee forum is not like that, it wouldn't be tolerated by us mods I can almost smell your lavender from here

How these people can be so unpleasant amazes me, Jasmin. Especially as you had photos to prove the damage they did. Unfortunately, nasty people are in plentiful supply. Not much we can do about that!

Jasmin, just wanted to say, I read your post and it made me smile. Mine is the same loads of bees.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Did consider writing a final letter to M&G just to let them know how disappointed I am in their attitude and misrepresentation of the matter but decided against it as I feel no matter what I say they would just consider it a big lot of hoo-haa! Best to put it behind me finally and get rid of my lovely wee bird bath which is a constant reminder of their nastiness.

Great news... an email from the council this morning to say that they have finally decided to award me £50 for the damage that was done to my property in the garden! Yay!! I had actually got to the point where I thought it would be better to stop chasing after them and Mow & Grow... so am totally surprised at that outcome.

It's not a lot for the damage they did, Jasmin, considering the agony you have gone through, but at least it's them taking responsibly for what they've done. Congrats! Now you can move on!

Just posting this to see if anyone can help me regarding a PVC greenhouse that I have. It has been stored in my shed for quite a few years and I decided to post an advert to sell it. A very nice couple came round and I suggested that they erect it first to make sure all of it is there but unfortunately it seems that I have mislaid some "screws" or such like which hold the poles together... trouble is I really can't remember what they look like so I don't know what I am looking for! Anyone got ideas or ..come to that..an instruction leaflet please? Attachment Deleted

Jasmin you should just sell it 'as seen' and let the customers google to get instructions and screws. You are probably selling it cheaply anyway.

Jasmin - that's exactly the same as mine! All the support pieces slot together without any screws! LOL! I bought mine at a bargain price of 25 Euro in Woodies!
I'm just letting you know, it is not great in the wind! The whole lot can easily lift up and blow away!
Someone gave me a tip re steadying it against the wind. That is to get a rope and attach a brick on each end and hang the bricks over the top on both sides. I also found some elastic type ties that you have for luggage. I used two of those from front to back, attached to the ivy covered wall at the back. After that is never stirred again!
I'll root around and see if I still have the instructions. If yours is still in the box, there must be a set of instructions included.

Sorry I've been absent for such a long while guys..been in and out of hospital like a yo-yo since October last year! First I had a really bad attack of psuedogout.(gout in both my hands) and then I collapsed in Tesco and was rushed in to the N&N hospital where they thought at first that I had a heart attack but turned out that I needed a pacemaker. That said... been in 3 times procedure being done but not positioned properly..(long story which I won't bore you with!)..and still having problems with a visit to the N&N yesterday where they have said if this problem is still continuing come Tuesday to give them a ring and they will arrange for me to go in and have it redone.. "Nice".. )-:
Well..on a better note.. I am trying to get someone to come and do the front garden border at these flats. Unfortunately the last couple who answered my advert were on the verge of calling after I had explained in great detail that this part does not actually belong to me but the council have never complained or made any comment about my doing this or the lady who used to live downstairs doing it either, but they decided to contact the council who obviously would not give them consent. I am aware that there are times when it's best to be upfront and legit but that seemed so unnecessary to me so I was quite annoyed. I did get loads of replies but on answering them hardly a one made any further response!
