The button for this facility is found on the bottom left side of the home page. Logging in is straightforward and it's important to 'Log-out' ..... this is a courtesy to other users in there because very often you can be talking to someone and think you're being ignored when in actual fact they've exited/'left the room'. There are icons (pictures/symbols) all around the chatroom and you'll find the 'log-out' button easily, play around with it all There is a box for typing in and to get your words into the room you press the 'Send' button or you can press the 'return' key on the PC keyboard. Grammar, punctuation etc isn't very important because you'll often be 'talking' quite quickly and making mistakes anyway ;D So no need to get hung up on that These rooms aren't as scary as you might think, just have a go and chatting to friends is immediate and fun ;D

Yes, i hope i've just been some help in there too Seems that on this one as soon as you move away from the chatroom you've been automatically logged out.

I'm wrong about "leaving the chatroom means you're logged out". I've just popped back in, it says Esther's there but she's not even logged on (according to my laptop). So, if you leave, best to log out. Or you'll be having a conversation with someone who isn't there Let's make this good manners

I think it says that the person has 'left the room' - read what you like into that, 'Merlin'. Where did you get that name from, anyway?

I think it says that the person has 'left the room' - read what you like into that, 'Merlin'. Where did you get that name from, anyway? Two places really Geranium. Years ago a friend had a lovely boat called Merlin. (after the sea bird) and more recently I know a lovely black Lhasa Apso called Merlin. Did you think it was cos I'm a 'wizard' at gardening/PC's

That explains that! I might slip up and call you by your old name - I hope that's OK. I apologise in advance if I do - I bet I won't be the only one, though.

As I was telling Geranium in another thread . If you go to the chat room you can`t see the posts in the forum but if you click float and dock THEN open the forum in another tab, you can have them both on seperate winows to click betweem. That way you keep logged into the chat room which is in the tab bar. If you don`t chat for a while a pop up tells you your timed out ,it has a log in button press it and your in again.

I tried the chat room yesterday, but didn't get on well. I thought it was funny that I had to log on again.
