Moved my seed trays out to the window sill this morning i have 3 Sweet-pea shoots ;D.

Moved my seed trays out to the window sill this morning i have 3 Sweet-pea shoots ;D. get them out to a frame or unheated g'house asap, make sure unobstructed light if poss and only cover in the early stages if hard frost forecast. Grow as hard as poss and dont mollycoddle. here endeth the lesson. ;D i still have to do mine yet

Its cold and rainy today will it be too cold for them 7oC? Also i don't have staging in the greenhouse yet will it hurt them sat on the damp floor? (sorry don't want to kill them off ) Also do i leave them out all night? or can i bring them back in?

No problem leaving them out with these temps. Once they have been out a few days then let them get full exposure to the elements subject of course to torrential rain washing them away all commonsense stuff really. Once one or two pairs of leaves have formed then you can pinch out the top. I only ever stop spring sown plants as autumn ones usually break naturally.

sowed mine today, 2 per 3" pot. taught by my dad who used to show in co durham in the 50's.

I have one seedling in my other pot of lathyrus . Still only have 3 seedlings of the mixed in the seed tray .

My Antirrhinums are germinating! Little tiny green dots, but definitely there! ;D

I just sowed some sweetpeas in toilet rolls inners yesterday, and some in small pots. I think sometimes they do well for me untill planting out as I have heavy clay and have to dig a fairly deep hole for the long roots....perhaps I squash the roots a bit.
