Sorry, I've never been able to follow a recipe, they always include something I don't have. Improvisation is they way forward ;D

Les I got a Russell Hobbs which seemed to be the best buy from Amazon. The basic loaf takes 3 hrs 30 mins, but I had to work it all out first, so I waited until husband was away for the afternoon and evening. He gets annoyed because I am slow to work things out. I could not get the bread out when it was cooked. That was a real carry on. I might know better next time.

Cherry, I get my oven gloves, turn the 'pan' upside down over the cake rack, and shake the pan. That works for me!

Really Steve. You can buy a bag with all the ingredients and just tip it in the breadmaker? Have you been cheating all the time. I will have to have a look in Tesco. Husband did the shopping. I hate going to the shops with him because he is always in a hurry and I like to look at labels and new products.

Plus, make sure the wire handle is out of the way and the little paddle isn't stuck in the base of the loaf *look at domesticated me* ;D

Did all that Geranium and the bread was loose all around, but the paddles held it in. I had to put my hand in and pull it at one end when it cooled a bit. It does not look as if it should have stuck on the paddles but they certainly kept a grip. I was getting quite cross until it finally came out. Now I must work out when to put the sesame seeds on top of the next loaf, which will be brown.

Right 'domesticated you' how do you make sure the paddles aren't in the way when you tip the loaf out?

I was wondering that, Cherry - it's at the base, isn't it? Maybe he has X-ray eyes.
