So much for the blinking website of the chain of stores - I went in and did they have a Panasonic? Nope. Why not? the website is 'general' and the only store that stocks them is up near Bristol! Guess who came back and ordered from Amazon. It should be here tomorrow. You get a choice and good descriptions from Amazon. No wonder High Street stores are going broke. I don't feel too sorry for them as they have had it good for years. I feel for the workers of course. When Clinton Cards opened up, I did not believe it would work, but people had money to spend on things that were not necessary, so I am definitely not sorry for them.

Well - how about that for service? It arrived by courier 12 hours after I ordered it on line. It's a Panasonic, the successor to my old one; so although the styling is different, the controls and action are the same. I shall try it out today.

Amazon is really good with delivery, even this far up the country. You should see the size of the warehouse by Dunfermline...it's humongous ;D

I don't know where their warehouses are...they must employ a lot of workers.

I looked at Amazon locations on Google and they are simply huge. There are pics of a distribution centre too. Thousands of people are employed.

We're still using up the (edible) remains of the old one. I'm making a new one tonight. Tell you in the morning!

As you'll see on another thread, I tried out the new breadmaker yesterday. It's easier to use than the old one, as it has numbered programmes instead of several settings to do. The new recipe misses out powdered milk, but I put some in anyway. Thank goodness the machine arrived before the snow! We'd have been really stuck with no bread!
