I didn't do my Miniature Semi / Cactus' I didn't know how many of the Weston Stardusts were mine, 1 or 2, asked Dad today. All of them. Oh, ended up asking if I could have another Weston Pirate as that was my favourite and it has ended up in the minority of single plants of a variety.
I'll sort out something another time + Garden Friends + Edwin's Sunset
but not forgetting the highlight of it all, coming your way...
Tuber Rogues gallery.
You have been warned...

and I thought I was bad working in the garden until the stars came out. No, not the film stars I still remember working at a certain customer's garden and after finishing with the garden work I would be pointing out the various planets/stars that were on view. happy days.

You make it sound Romantic. I have tried looking at the stars, went to the Planetarium and I still can't spot the different stars and planets.

No head torch, so I will have to wait till tomorrow. Had a phone call from my Mum today.
"I've got a confession to make, I accidently took home 2..." So it was a good thing I decided to stop looking for the head torch.

The downside is our poor weather and light pollution but even when I lived in Surrey within the M25 I could see the milky way often and ALL the planets though with Neptune and Uranus you need at least binoculars and preferably a telescope. If clear tonight look up high to SW and the brightest 'star' you see will actually be Jupiter. Move further to the east (Left) and you can see a reddish 'Star' which is actually Mars a little bit further on is Saturn though you need a 'scope to see the rings. There is a FREE planetarium programme which is called Stellarium and is very good. Just google it and download and take a few minutes learning how to use it. Gardening by day astronomy by night - Magic.

Dad told me that he had taken the smallest cutting he had ever taken, when he took my Candy Jayne cutting.
Looks dinky up against his label but absolutely tiny compared to all his other brothers and sisters.
(Same photo taken 3.5.2014)
Got the news from Dad, that tiny cutting has rooted and has been planted in a small pot, apparently it dwarfs it.
When you consider where it came from, pretty good I say.
Just got to hope now that my Clearview Jenny manages a cutting.

Probably don't help myself, short sighted and I really need to get my eyes checked and new glasses. You can see the sky more clearly at me Mum's because it is a little more rural.

Tel Garden Friends has developed a bud. Will it be a very bad idea for me to let it flower?
