Here's another idea too Geranium , a sports armband which he can fit his phone into so he can listen to music/text/keep in touch while out running/training. Sport phone armband

If your grandson likes 'retro' games as well Cherry you could get him a colour change 'Tetris' mug which shows the game as it heats up. You can get lots of t-shirts with gaming slogans on as well. Here's the mug:- Tetris mug

Next year I intend to put my people list on the forum, and you can all give me the best pressies list to match. What good ideas have been put forward.

I just spotted this as well in The Sunday Times, a fitness/sleep tracker gadget that could fit for both boys Geranium's fitness fanatic - 'you have run 10 miles, burned 500 calories, slept 7 hours' & Cherry's gamer - 'you have sat down for 4 hours, consumed 1000 calories & slept until someone shook you to wake you up!' I think the amazon wish list is a great idea . They stock most things and once bought it dissapears fron the persons list so no one else will get it . you can even but it elsewhere and inform the wish list to remove it .I have got a lot of my presys that way this year .

They look messy and it really does not matter because we did not have loads of time for these and had to pick up the greenery off the floor where it was put. There were 30 of us in the Crimplesham Hall.

Yes lesley. It can be a door wreath, without the candles, or a table arrangement with candles, so I did not mind that the centre was a little filled up. It is in the greenhouse to keep it going until Christmas. Last year we were a week later. The greenery is mostly from the woods near the farm where the lady who runs the class lives. You can probably tell I am not a flower arranger.

Good arrangement Cherry, thank you for showing us, it has given me some good ideas. I like the contrast of the plain green and yellow and green leaves and the feathery effect of the conifer and yew, and I've got some red berries in the garden I can use. When I've made my arrangement, if it looks any good, I'll post a picture

I think it's lovely Cherry - & versatile, you could put a big pillar type candle in the centre if you didn't have the red ones, I like the colours.

Well done - it might look messy to you, Cherry, but I think it's lovely. I like it a lot. Thanks for the photos. We bought our Nordmann Christmas tree yesterday but it only has its lights on it so far. I don't decorate the house, but I do like having a pretty tree. They had some artificial lit up trees, almost life size, for outdoors - they were beautiful, but the price was horrendous - would you believe £3,995?

Oh, and my daughter has come to the rescue about A's present - she bought a 'medal display rack' for him and says we can pay for it. He's like his father in that he is collecting medal after medal for his athletics. (Proud smile!)
