Been having a read of the winter bulletin need to spend more time with it . Delighted to see the picture of wyns favourite Tel Congratulations mate. further congrats to all the forum members who did wonderfully well last year. I think I might make a couple of changes in my varieties Drop minley carol for willows violet and add in Oakwood goldcrest or Ruskin Myra and cut all of the novelty display one's down to singles. If I get extra cuttings then do plenty of pot tubers.

Had a good browse through the Winter Bulletin last night. More than a few familiar names mentioned........Our Tel was well mentioned and I smiled at the dig about Garden Friends "sunday name"....lol They even managed to give him a wrong initial in one of the mentions.....

Lou78W I Have all these extra tubers so if I get lots of rooted cuttings I will just have to do lots of pot tubers if they turn out to be a good variety worthy of a second look I at least hopefully will have the stock for 2016. I have ordered Tom mcclelland to try it . placed it last night. Just need to do bedding dahlia order but that can wait for now

I thought that you had already ordered your dahlias ages ago Raymond. Glad that you are happy with your shorter list. Wish mine were all ordered, for me, our orders were going to be joint orders with my Dad and between the 2 of us we still aren't sorted. I feel a lot of wishful thinking reading about everyone else with their tubers on the heated beds and a growing abundance of cuttings. Oh well, sooner or later. I just worry that I will miss out on the varieties that I've been looking forward to for the last couple of years. Soon.

Don't worry Moonlight, least you won't have about your electricity bill. My little smart meter is doing a quick step around the dial, as we speak . And as Lou says, you'll will soon get going .
Signed up for my first allotment this morning, after getting the once over from the Association chairman. 125 sqm, with shed, and they even rotovate it for you!! Not bad for £23 per year, and £5 association membership. I feel like I've won the pools .
Happy days indeed
