A lot of early morning excitement generated by Fairy's Hyacinth: "It smells Mummy, Mummy my Hyacinth smells."

Dad's Seedling Update: Mum and Dad have been round and you'll be shocked to read that dahlias came up in the conversation. Update: This is seedling number 3 from 2013 It was the last of his 2013 seedlings to germinate and was planted in a 3 1/2 inch pot. It managed to produce 1 flower at the end of October. When he brought it in, he let it dry back naturally. It makes a small tuber but he is happy with it because it is the only one with eyes on it out of his seedlings so far.
He is going to plant where he used to grew Val's Candy.
This peach one is a 2014 seedling so has no name or number and I'm not sure but I think this one might be going to the front garden beds.Update: This is number 1 - 2014
This is 23 from 2013 and this one, well I don't know he is going to plant this one.Update: I think it is going to be renumbered to 11 from 2013 but I need to double check that.
Update: This is number 3 2014 and to be planted where the Clearview Sundance were.
Bit of a Dad seedling update while I'm in and my coffee is too hot to drink, I've checked their names.
This is 16 a 2013 seedling. (Dad doesn't like it and he's only keeping the tuber because I like it)
This is 17 another 2013 seedling. Again only kept because of me.

Update: Les & Viv order completed. Realised yesterday that I needed to do another US order which I'll be very happy when it is done. Very happy. This ordering business has been very stressful this year. Need to be much more organised next year.

Lots of excitement on Valentine's Day morning...
Pirate's Hyacinth is starting to flower. Took this photo before she went to bed, she actually standing holding the vase with a mouth open going 'Ohh'. Very sweet, just a tad too much face for me to be able to put the whole photo on here.
Tomorrow if we get up and ready early enough we are going to go to the Horticultural shop to collect the girls potatoes.
Fingers crossed we are up and ready in time, then it will be off to Church Parade. I think HH secretly sees this a bonus because if we were to bump into my Dad there, we wouldn't be able to stay long talking dahlias.
Love him, Happy Valentines my Love - for next time you read this (he does come and read this every now and again).

Box is great use in your front large pot something evergreen. Put some trailing fushia around it or something else in the summer.

Been to the Horticultural shop, came away with 2 seed potatoes for the Children's competition, only 1 bucket (have to return next week for the 2nd one they'd run out), tree stump killer and another copy of the handbook.
